Quality and Reliability of Information Technology Systems

Module Code: 959
Syllabus: Introduction to quality characteristics of information technology systems, Total quality management and other approaches to quality assurance. Intro to the establishment and use of quality management systems. The ISO 9000 standard, risk management.
Module Aims-Objectives: The objective of this module is to make students learn and understand the basic principles of quality when developing software products, be familiar with the quality standards used and eventually be able to employ these standards in real life projects.
The aim is to comprehend quality and reliability related issues with respect to information systems’ software and hardware.
