Intelligent Software Systems
Module Type: Optional
Module Code: 958
Syllabus: Architecture and organisation of intelligent agents. BDI architecture. Negotiation, contract-bid organisational models. Belief revision. Prototype communication languages (ΤELESCRIPT, ACL, ΚQML etc). Agents as objects. Examples with the use of a prototype platform for intelligent agents development (ZEUS, JACK, JADE AGENTS, SWARM etc).
Module Aims-Objectives: Introduce students to intelligent software systems, focusing on intelligent software agents and their characteristics.
Upon completing this module, student should be able to familiar with the architecture, the operation and the use of intelligent software agents.
