Information Technology Project Management
Module Type: MELH
Module Code: 931
Syllabus: Analysis of the project management task. Total Quality in project management.Project management case studies and issues concerning time scheduling, resource management and financial planning via software simulation. Multi criteria project assessment. Project control techniques. Multiple project management.
Module Aims-Objectives: To familiarise students with the problems and issues concerning the realisation of large projects where many work-groups are involved and to teach them the essential techniques and methods required for effective management and support during and after the realisation of the project.
Upon completing this module students should be able to:
1. Understand the problems that arise in the programming, task organisation and scheduling of an information technology project.
2. Appreciate the methodologies employed and the formation of project scheduling diagrams.
3. Apply time scheduling and optimisation methods in practical problems of project management.
4. Utilize software tools for the implementation of the various methodologies
