Satellite Communications
Module Type: Telecommunications and Networks Track
Module Code: 742Τ
Syllabus: Satellite projectiles, frequencies, coverage geometry, noise sources in satellite communications, antennas, base stations, multiple access base stations, access techniques and satellite link design. Introduction to Radar.
Module Aims-Objectives: To teach students the principles governing satellite communications.
Upon completing this module students should be acquainted with the structure of a satellite communications system, the configuration and subsystems of a satellite, and also gain an insight in the design process of real telecommunications systems.
