Electronic Commerce
Module Type: Information Technology Track
Module Code: 733Π
Syllabus: Introduction to Electronic Commerce, Application fields. E-commerce economics and marketing issues. E-shops. Transaction security and management of e-commerce systems. E-commerce legislation and financial regulations. E-commerce technologies.
Module Aims-Objectives: To familiarize students with the principles regarding the electronic exchange of data as well as e-commerce. Also to introduce the current legislation governing e-commerce, and elaborate on various issues concerning financial regulations and marketing techniques.Moreover, technologies employed in e-commerce like EDI and XML are taught.
Upon completing this module students should be able to appreciate principles governing the electronic exchange of data as well as e-commerce, and be aware of the current legislation as well as of marketing methods and techniques.
