sound compression algorithms (MPEG-1, AAC), video compression algorithms (MPEG-1,2,4,7). Digital television. Platforms for multimedia applications development.

Module Aims-Objectives: |
1. Update students on technological advancements in multimedia related topics such as types of memory storage, memory requirements
for real-time video and audio applications.
2. Teach students the main design principles for the development of such real-time applications.
Upon completing this module students should be able to design and implement multimedia applications.
