Physical Principles of Communications Technology
Module Type: General Foundation
Module Code: 221
Syllabus: Quantum theory, Atomic Model, Laser, waves and particles, Schrodinger’s wave equation, conductivity, Quantum model of free electron , energy bands, semiconductors, superconductivity.
Module Aims-Objectives: The understanding of quantum theory and conductivity. Upon completing this module students should come in terms with the basic principles of quantum physics, which form the basis for the development of semiconducting elements.
